ITINERARY

Day 1 Arrival at Kigali International Airport

On your arrival on Kigali international airport, you will be welcomed by our driver and guide who will transfer you to your Hotel in Kigali, for check in, dinner and overnight stay.

Day2 Kigali city tour

Wake up in the morning have a breakfast and meet with our drive and guide for the briefing about the day. You will then proceed on a morning Kigali city tour which includes the visit to Kigali Genocide Memorial and Richard kandt museum. After lunch you will visit Inema art center and Kimironko market then return at the Hotel for leisure and overnight stay.

Day 3 Game drive in Akagera National Park

In the early morning around 5:00 am after breakfast you will depart from your Hotel and drive 2,5h to the south gates of Akagera National park for the amazing game drive on your arrival to Akagera reception registration and regal for formalities will be applied then we will start a game drive throughout the park from the south to the north gates, you will see a variety of wildlife including Lions, Elephants, Giraffes, Hippos, Zebras, Bushbucks, Waterbucks and Black Rhinos. The park is also a home to numerous bird species including grey crowned cranes, woodland kingfisher, little bee-eater and etc... After 8 hours of full day game drive, you will drive back to Kigali for an overnight stay.

Day 4 Transfer to Nyungwe forest national park

Early morning breakfast is followed by a drive to Nyungwe forest. On the way visit Nyanza King’s Palace, the National Museum of Butare. You will have a lunch en route and arrive at your hotel in the Gisakura for check in and overnight  stay.

Day 5 Chimpanzee trekking

You will meet your guide in early morning and drive to Nyungwe National park reception for briefing at 5:00am, enter Nyungwe forest to track the chimpanzee . Thereafter return to the Hotel for lunch after, you’ll have a scenic drive near Kivu Lake on your way to Kibuye, this road is then Overnight at the hotel in Kibuye.

Day6 Lake kivu excursion, Karongi

After breakfast at the Hotel you will drive to the shore of lake Kivu in Karongi of a boat trip on Lake Kivu, you will be able to visit different Islands including, Amahoro Island, Monkey Islands and  Napoleon Island  if you are a birdwatcher Napoleon island  is a great place for this activity, after your excursion then take your boat back to your hotel  for Lunch. In the afternoon you will have a great Karongi city Tour, back and overnight at the Hotel in Karongi

Day 7 Transfer to the Volcanoes National Park

 In the morning after a breakfast you will be transferred to the Volcanoes National Park   from Karongi, along the way you will drive  4hours  to Rubavu ( Gisenyi) via the most beautiful providing spectacular views of the tea growing country of Gisovu and Kayove. Brief stops are provided for photography. Upon your arrival to Rubavu (Gisenyi) you will have a lunch and a brief city tour including the visit to borders of Congo and Rwanda. Thereafter drive for two more hours to Musanze a city at the base of the volcanoes National park a home the endangered Mountain gorillas.

 Overnight in  Musanze.

Day 8 Gorillas trekking

At 6:30 am after breakfast our driver guide will pick you up from your Hotel in Musanze and drive to the park headquarters for group, guide allocation and briefing. This is followed by a drive to the trailheads where hiking and trekking up the hills to the bamboo zone begins. Hiking, trekking and tracking gorillas may take 2-4 hours. Sight and stay with the Gorillas for one hour. Descend to your hotel for lunch. Afternoon you will experience Rwandan culture through authentic village tour.

 Overnight in Musanze.

Day 9 Golden Monkey trekking

After breakfast, trek Golden Monkeys for another memorable experience with the primates of Volcano National Park back at your hotel for Lunch then driver to Kigali for an overnight stay.

Day 10 Departure from Kigali

In the morning after breakfast your will have a short tour in Kigali for buying souvenirs and drive to the airport for your departure.
