ITINERARY

Day1 Arrival to Rwanda

On your arrival to Rwanda you will be welcome by our driver guide who will take you to your Hotel in Kigali for check in and a nice rest. Depending of your arrival time you can also have a Kigali city tour as your explore the cleanest city in African.

Day2 Transfer to Volcanoes National Park/excursion on Twin lakes

In early morning after breakfast our driver guide will transfer you to Musanze, you will have a 2,5h scenic drive through the rolling hills enjoying beautiful view of Rwanda landscape arriving to Musanze , you will check in at the Hotel have a lunch then in Afternoon you will drive to Musanze outskirts closer to the border of Rwanda and Uganda to explore two beautiful lakes Burera and Ruhondo also known as twinlakes.

You will have a boat trip on Ruhondo lakes enjoying beautiful views of 5volcanoes, and surrounding  hills ,you will also have a chance to spot some water bird species like pied kingfisher, little grebe, cormorant, herons, egrets etc….

After visiting Ruhondo lake drive to the shore of Burera lake, have a short nature walk and enjoy the views.

These two lakes are called twin lakes because they are located in the same area, share a physical connection.

Day3 Mount Bisoke hike

Hiking Mount Bisoke will wake you up early in the morning, our driver guide will pick you around 6:30 am at your Hotel and drive you to the park office in Kinigi, arriving at 7:00 am have a warm drink of your choice a tea or a coffee, a after the park range will brief you about Mount Bisoke Hiking trails. At 8:00 am you will drive to the starting point of the hike and embark on a 6-7 hours adventure in the volcanoes national park. On your way back you will be transferred to your hotel in Musanze for Dinner and overnight stay.

Day4 Ibyiwacu culture village and boat trip on lake kivu

On this beautiful day in the volcanoes destination you will meet with our guide at your hotel after breakfast and drive to Ibyiwacu culture center ,for culture experience, you will meet local people who will warmly welcome you to participate in Traditional dance and other cultural entertainment activities.

After have a luch at the Hotel check out and drive to 1.5h Gisenyi for check in at the Hotel and an evening boat trip on Lake Kivu.

Day5 Rubavu -cyimbiri Congo Nile Trail hike

Starting at 7:00 AM, we take a direction to Cyimbiri village, a trip that normally takes between 6 to 7 hours walking. On our way, you will enjoy the beauty of Lake Kivu, especially the landscapes, islands and not forgetting the agricultural activities including banana plantations, coffee, beans, and cassava)

Duration: 7 hours

Day 6 Cyimbiri to Kinunu Congo Nile Trail hike

This morning, you will walk for 2 hours up to the nearby fishermen village called Nkora whereby you will meet local community drying and sale coffee. You will proceed to Kinunu basecamp and on your way,  you will be enjoying good voices of birds, fishing activities, landscape, banana and coffee plantations. Overnight at Kinunu guest house

Duration: 5 hours

Day 7 Kinunu to Bumba Congo Nile Trail hike

Starting in the morning, you will walk for 8 hours up to Bumba basecamp, on your way,  you will enjoy the landscapes and scenery around the lake Kivu, fishing activities and agricultural activities that include banana and coffee plantations without forgetting cassava and beans. Proceed to Kibuye, Gisenyi or Kigali

Day8 kayaking on lake kivu and transfer to Nyungwe

On this beautiful morning on the share of lake kivu, you will have a kayaking on lake kivu , then after you will check out to your Hotel, visit environmental museum.  And drive to Nyungwe for overnight stay

Day9 kamiranzovu waterfalls and canopy walkway

In the morning after breakfast, leave the hotel head to gisakura park office for briefing after; we will start our moderately difficult hike about 8km for 4hours around hike. The trail starts in tea plantations and riverine forest and takes you down the valley to spectacular Kamiranzovu waterfalls. Interestingly, this waterfall comes in two major parts the lower section which lies on huge rocks with spectacular spot for you to take incredible photographs and the other section that lies in front of it. The lower part drops at 50 meters making a permanent mist and the second section makes up a pool of water that reflects the green vegetation.

After you will hike back to the Hotel for lunch and drive to Uwinka overlook for a treetop canopy walkway experience.

Day10 Transfer to Kigali

Check out from the Hotel around 8:00 am after breakfast and drive 6 hours to Kigali, En route you will have a lunch, visit ethnographic museum, and nyanza kings palace and drive back to Kigali.

Day 11 game drive in Akagera National Park

Early in the morning at 5 am, Meet and greet your guide at the Hotel then drive to Akagera National Park  Arriving at the Park Reception will be Briefed about the Akagera National Park and Embark to the Akagera game Lodge Hotel to have Breakfast then after Start our  Game Drive to enjoy Rwanda’s phenomenal landscapes and wildlife. During this game drive, you may meet the big five, different mammals, Birdlife, and reptiles. This game drive from the south up to the northern exit will take almost 7hours.

After Game drive, you will drive back to Kigali at the Hotel for an overnight stay.

Day12 Departure

After a good rest our drive guide will meet you at your Hotel and have a short relaxed city tour visiting art gravelly and craft short for your souvenirs shopping.

After, you will be transferred to the airport for Departure
